Sources for Audio
Here are some sources for free and royalty free audio that staff can use in educational multimedia projects (eg: YouTube videos, Storyline, PowerPoint, Powtoon, etc). There are plenty of online sources for free music and often the only requirement is to credit the source.
It's important to remember these two things:
Resource/URL | About |
---|---|
YouTube Audio Library |
For any creative purpose (not just YouTube videos). See conditions and check licence for the track you are after. |
Incompetech/Kevin MacLeod |
Big collection and an unrestrictive licence. Must attribute the source. |
Musopen | Mostly Creative Commons and Public Domain. |
Free Music Archive |
MP3’s pre-cleared for various types of uses. Check licence for the track you are after. |
Freeplay Music |
Large library, but restrictive terms. Must be presented LIVE in the classroom, not distributed online. |
Sound Bible |
Sounds effects, rather than music. Creative Commons and Public Domain licenced sounds are free. |
