 Standards

Standards are sets of guidelines that ensure products, services and systems are safe, reliable and consistent. They are developed by experts to help protect the public and guide industry professionals.

 Standards are important because they:

  • Ensure safety for people and the environment
  • Set benchmarks for reliable products and services
  • Ensure consistent processes across Australia
  • Maintain legal compliance
